Also, the Razer Kraken Ultimate's disconnection from your USB port is something else. ![]() Try retrieving your legacy driver for THX Spatial Audio through the Windows device manager by following the step from this thread. I felt sorry after hearing that the headset and Razer Synapse are affecting your gaming experience. SoulRipp I've bought the Kraken Ultimate about a year ago, I really hope Razer will fix this problem cause more and more people are having problems with their headsets and paying this much for a headset that doesn't even work properly isn't even worth it. Over all, the product and sound is really amazing, but that damned Synapse 3 programming is the worse I've ever encountered and paying this much for a headset that requires Synapse 3 to even function is not even worth the price of 150 euro, maybe 45 euro or even less. It's come this far already that I'm not even enjoying gaming and have now started looking for a new headset and probably will never go with razer again for the audio. I literally have tried everything that I was able to find, uninstalling synapse 3, changing the custom power, everything you can think of I have done. Sound out put it tells me that it's using a generic audio driver. Trouble shooting doesn't matter cause it says for the mic that there is no problem, but it's not receiving anything what I'm saying (yes my mic is set to Default). Or disconnect, reconnect, but the mic is not transmitting in discord and in the game, I checked the settings it's all set to Razer Kraken Ultimate, the only way to even get the mic starting again or the headset is either shutting down the game (Does it to all my games) and or fully shutting down my PC. Plus the small switch on the back has stopped lighting up a few months ago and randomly doesn't work any more (only works when restarting the computer x amount of times, but the light won't light up.)īut about 2 months ago I was getting more problems, like fully disconnecting my headset while being in game. I can see in my sound settings THX Spatial is selected as default every where but I'm still getting the notification in Synapse 3 that it needs to be set as default. Unfortunately it needs Synapse 3 to function. The sound is amazing, how ever, THX Spatial Audio has never really been reliable since the day I bought this headset. I've bought the Kraken Ultimate about a year ago, I'm sure there was (another) Razer update a few weeks ago. I hope Razer can fix this! Again, I've had the headphones for well over a year with no issues. The only things I can think of is interrupted power supply to them, processor issues, USB port issues or a problem with Razer software / drivers - and since I've tried 'all the things' (and it seems I'm not the only one affected) - I can only put this down to Razer issues - especially as this isn't happening with another brand or other devices.Īlso, I tried the Powerplan USB enable / disable suggested above- and if anything it made the muting / unmuting worse!įYI my headphones are supposed to be 'permanently' muted as I use a USB Blue Yeti for Input. I have been using them since November 2019 (I think?) - NO issues until a few weeks ago.Īfter this started, I've updated all drivers, checked USB ports and have run all types of scans. There is no 'usb sound' or notification to say a device has been 'unplugged'. mute button is unmuted / muted - then they go dead just for a second - so it swaps audio devices - then they come back, and Synapse doesn't recognise device. SAME! Razer Kraken Kitty Headphones here. ![]()
